Crab Dock
The Crab Dock extends over Mattox Bay and derives its name from its historical use by residents to hand-line catch blue crabs. Although recently rebuilt, it no longer serves this purpose. Nevertheless, it remains a beautiful and romantic overlook that offers breathtaking views.
We kindly request that children be supervised as the Crab Dock is located in close proximity to the water. While we encourage our guests to walk out on the dock, we kindly ask that they avoid the shoreline. The area surrounding the dock is a protected wetland and oyster conservation area, and we strive to preserve its natural beauty and ecological balance.
